Transmission Simulator

Overview

Team has developed a hydraulic transmission pressure pulsation system. This system is designed as a development lab tool to provide a method of testing the dynamic response of spool valves in automatic transmissions. It is a portable device that is able to generate an oscillation with a controllable shape, frequency and amplitude. The self-contained hydraulic power unit provides oil flow and pressure to continuously operate the transmission pressure oscillator. The system produces 300 psi Pk-Pk oscillation pressure, about the nominal operating pressure, with a 300 Hz maximum frequency capability.
